Being deeply planted in Jesus means that we do not have to fear the days of heat or drought, but we can be like a tree planted by water that sends it roots by the stream. We know days of pain and difficulty will come but being planted in Jesus will enable us to withstand, and not only withstand but do so joyfully at peace in His goodness and sovereignty. We want to be a place of encouragement and service to you, in joyful times and difficult ones. We want to talk about Jesus, what He is doing and promises to do. We want to remind you of His mercy and grace and promises. We want to come together in fellowship for His glory.
Glory not only means magnificence, excellence and beauty, but also opinion, judgement or view. We want to always be focused on His excellence and beauty but we also want to allow His opinion, and only His, and His righteousness to dictate our lives. We want to honor God in our words, actions and thoughts. We want the meditation of our hearts and words of our mouths to be pleasing in His sight.
Our goal at Deeply Planted is to bless you. CS Lewis said friendship is born at the moment when one person says to another, "What? You too? I thought I was the only one." I absolutely love that. We want to develop a community that shares a deep love for Jesus and the things of Jesus. We want to be a group of women that seeks to edify and build one another up.
We have many great things planned for this community. We will have regular meetings, adorable merchandise to serve as "stones" (Joshua 4) or reminders of being part of a group who loves you and is praying for you and more! We are incredibly excited, to put it mildly, to see what God wants to do with this community and hearts open and ready to obey his leading. We hope you will walk along side us in this wild journey called life!
Let's be deeply planted in Him!
"What draws people to be friends is they see the same truth, they share it." (Jesus, Y'all! His unfathomable sacrifice and love for us is our TRUTH)
"Is any pleasure on Earth as great as a circle of christian friends by a fire?" (Really, though.. is there?)
